Okay so first off, I DO have old staining near the upper part of my nails. The rest of my nail however, has zero staining and it's all thanks to this base coat. I put only 1 coat of this, then I put several coats of Painted Polishes Pretty Poison. It's a very mossy/murky green jelly with copper flakes. when I bought this polish, I got it on discount because of the amount of complaints it had about it staining. This base coat made it so I have zero staining. I absolutely loved the consistency of this base coat. And the brush is fabulous. I also loved how just 1 coat of this looked on its own on my nails. They looked very clean. I 100% will be buying another bottle when I run out.
I have been using stain guardian for the past two months and my very very bad stains are finally actually growing out! I use two coats of stain guardian and usually a third layer of basecoat, a ridge filler or a pigmented base coat.
This works so great on keeping those very saturated/pigmented colors from staining, plus it is a bit blurring. I know more costly than some but totally worth it! This pic is with very pigmented color Mars, two coats of stain prevention and absolutely no staining.
Just got my stain proof base coat. First thing I noticed was how much thought they put into the shipping packaging. Super secure and safe for the bottle so it wouldn't get broken. Then once I saw the packaging I was awestruck! You guys are amazing visual designers. The box is so pretty I'm keeping it for display. The lifted texture design, pretty silver celestial theme, holographic unicorn, etc. Just so cool! And then as far as the formula quality goes, it seems to work well as far as preventing staining. I tend to use pretty pigmented and dark colors so it's nice to not have yellow-orange natural nails anymore lol. Excited to maybe order a color or two soon.
This has been my base coat for a few months and I'm a big fan! Prevents staining for the most part. Recommend 2 coats for stubborn colors (green/blue for me). Super happy it's PVB free!
In my 57 years on the planet, I have tried them all, and Starrily, you are to be commended. You've achieved what every other nail polish manufacturer has failed to do, a protective base coat that truly does not let nail polish stain your nails. BRAVO!!!!!!

I exclusively wear reds and dark nail polish and since I started using Starrily stain preventing base coat my nails never stain. Fabulous product that does what it says!

I like the way it goes on my nails. Since my nails are already stained, it may take a while for the nails to grow out to see if it is preventing stains!
I was pleasantly surprised by this base coat. It went on like butter and lasted over a week. It hasn't stained my nails and I really like this. I would most definitely recommend getting this. This is now my preferred method for dark polishes.
The application was really smooth and even which I was impressed by. It dried down nicely too. I don't know how it works at preventing staining yet because I just put it on.
This base coat is better than anything I have ever used. No staining at all! I would recommend this to anyone that doesn't like their nails stained from polish!
I do like this base coat. I didn’t buy because of staining. I got it because it is a white base coat. I have pink undertone and all sheers look pink. This did help with another product that looks pink. It also lasts longer than I expected. Thumbs up.
This stuff is legit. I use this under DARK colors on natural nails and never have to worry about staining. I can go from dark red polish for weeks to a french manicure with no problem.

Used this to protect my nails while using the vantablack. If it can keep that black stain at bay, it can do pretty much anything.

I'm somewhat of a beginner with the whole nail polish thing. Like, I can get around the grocery store all right, but I sometimes get a wee bit lost and confused. For example, I've been using a base coat (a couple different ones that are pretty reputable) because I know that it can protect the nail and prolong wear-time. What I *didn't* previously know is that my nails apparently don't give two hoots. Blue? Stains. Green? Stains. Orange? Stains. Yellow? Stains. In fact, I currently have a bit of blue staining. Now, I'm not hugely bothered about that kind of thing, but it would still be nice to prevent. So I got this here stain prevention base coat, and, by George, it actually works! I tend to change it up *very* frequently because I get bored with the sameness (this is why thermals are great for me, but I digress), so I have been steadily changing the green I have on each nail to different greens. I've changed about three so far, and there is no additional staining! I'd still been thoroughly expecting it due to past experience, but Guardian has my back. And that's with 3 different green polishes put to the test. In fact, I dare say that the already blue-ish tint that was there from before might have even been a wee bit less noticeable. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but either way, Guardian stood up to its name. It guarded the heck out of my nails. Super impressed. I will definitely be using it much more often! Also, the formula is super smooth, levels well, and is easy to apply :)
My go-to base coat
I wear this with any highly-pigmented polish and have had minimal staining. I love how it's slightly milky so I can see if I missed any spots. The large bottle and wide brush are a total plus.
great base coat
I'm kind of an oil producer, which includes my nail beds, and base coats that say they're "long lasting" tend to last a week on me if I'm lucky (and then the polish lifts off like I used a peel-off base coat). Guardian keeps my polish on for over a week, fills the ridges in my nails, and keeps my nails from getting stained as a bonus. Love this stuff.
